Past II

Donna and I hooked up that summer. She just got out of an abusive relationship and was looking for someone to save her; that would have been me. It got hot and heavy real quick and we couldn't get enough of each other. We stopped talking on the CB but we still went to Point Pleasant and Beach on Friday nights. We did so many things together that summer it all seems a blur. We were very close till one day she called me up and asked me to come over, she didn't sound right and went there right away. When I got to her place she broke it off with me. I must say that she did a wonderful job of it too, but it was no more. I found out shortly after that she went back to her ex-boyfriend Mike. This was the first week of September in 1994. I was sitting in the Ocean Queen diner in Brick Township with a few friends and a girl named Jill W. after a night of shooting pool, when a girl that I never saw before approached my table. She was wearing a brown and white floral print shirt and blue jeans. She had a cigarette in her hand, and dark exotic features with very long dark brown hair tied off in a ponytail. She was beautiful. She walked right up to me and asked if I knew who she was, I replied in the negative. She responded, "You're Greg, right?", "you went out with Donna?", I told her I was, then she responded, "My name is Melissa, I went out with Mike when you were with Donna, I think we need to talk".
